Let's face it honestly. Sometimes seventeenth-century farming practices can be dirty. That's pretty much the case with this manure spreader. For Amish farmers you see, fertilizer comes out of the barns in these horse-drawn wagons, and there is nothing about the operation that is - well - not messy. It is certainly picturesque to see a team of horses working the fields, but it is also old fashioned. Still, Amish people will argue, are the modern chemical fertilizers really that much better?
