In Mt. Hope, Ohio - in north-central Holmes County - the Amish grocery and bulk foods store sells several dozen varieties of herbal remedies and mixtures that are popular with Amish people in the region. The dried herbs are in one area, and the herbal solutions are here on this shelf. It seems that there is an herbal formula for nearly every disorder or illness, and I find the variety is fascinating.
